Can I be honest with you for a second? I’ve tried just about everything to make money from home—and most of it didn’t work. Like, at all.
I dove headfirst into a few MLMs, worked my hiney off, sacrificed precious time with my kiddos, and… well, I flopped. Hard. I was left with a heavy sense of defeat and a heart that felt just a little broken. I remember thinking, “There’s got to be a way to provide for my family without feeling like I’m missing out on their lives.”

It was during one of those late nights—when the house was finally quiet, and my brain refused to shut off—that I prayed. I begged, really. “Lord, please give me something I’m passionate about. Something that will allow me to provide for my family and still be present with them. Something that fills me up instead of drains me.”
And friends… let me tell you, He is so, so good.
He gently nudged photography into my heart, and little by little, the path started to align. That nudge turned into a calling, and that calling became Field of Lilies Photography—a family-first photography business that answered so many prayers I didn’t even know I had.
This business does something amazing for me: it provides for my family. It allows me to capture memories for other families that they will cherish for a lifetime. It gives me the freedom to prioritize my babies as they grow (and grow fast!). And honestly? It fills my cup in ways I didn’t know were possible. Every session, every image, every laugh shared with my clients—it’s a reminder that I’m exactly where I’m meant to be.

Starting something like this isn’t without its fears. I worried: “Am I enough? Can I really make this work?” “Will moms even trust me enough to handle something so precious and valuable?” But every time I stepped back and let the love I have for photography and families lead the way, the answers became clear. The moments in front of my camera—when kids laugh so hard they can’t breathe, when parents hold each other a little tighter, when families just are—those moments reminded me that this business wasn’t about perfection. It was about connection, joy, and presence.
So here I am, doing the work I love, serving families, and still being a mom who shows up fully for my little ones. It’s not always easy—don’t get me wrong—but it’s so worth it. Every late night editing photos, every early morning session, every client email that says, “Thank you for capturing this moment forever,” reminds me that choosing this path was the best decision I could have made.

If you’re new here, welcome! I’m so glad you stumbled into my little space on the internet. And if you’ve been here for a while, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support. Your encouragement fuels me, inspires me, and allows me to keep growing this dream.
Buckle up, my friends—2026 is going to be beautiful. Not just in the pictures I take, but in the moments we get to savor, the memories we hold close, and the love we share along the way. Thank you for being part of this journey.
With so much love, joy, and gratitude,
✨ Kaitlyn Williams
