Charleston has a way of slowing you down without asking you to try. From the moment I arrived, I felt it as both an artist and a mother. There is so much history here, layered with beauty, and every location brings a different feeling with it.

The beach feels upbeat and full of energy. Kids can run, dig, and laugh without limits. Downtown Charleston feels rich and meaningful. You can almost feel the history as you walk, and the photos feel like you get to savor a small piece of it forever. The mossy trees are iconic and breathtaking. They create shade, softness, and space to just be present.

All of these places invite children to be themselves. They allow freedom and movement. They invite play and curiosity. They make room for joy in ways that feel natural. Being in Charleston felt like exhaling while holding hands with the people you love most.

This is exactly why my photography style fits so naturally here.
